Salome Kavindu is a Landscape Architect with over 14 years’ experience in passionately creating unique and sustainable landscapes. She is the Managing Director at Rustic Landscapes Studio; a Landscape design, implementation and Maintenance company. As a Landscape Architect, Salome is known for her ability to conceptualize and design outdoor spaces that seamlessly integrate with the surrounding environment. She possesses a keen understanding of environmental sustainability, ensuring that projects not only enhance the visual appeal but also contribute positively to the ecosystem. In her role as a Landscape contractor, Salome excels in turning her design concepts into reality. She oversees the implementation of landscaping projects with meticulous attention to detail, coordinating with a skilled team to bring ideas to life. She is also the co-founder of Murugi Farm. A farm that incorporates modern animal husbandry methods with organic crop growing. Murugi's farm model is to support women and youth to practice agriculture sustainably and to ensure they enhance the food basket of Africa. Known for her commitment to sustainable and responsible farming practices, Salome employs a blend of traditional wisdom and modern techniques to cultivate crops and raise livestock. With a keen understanding of soil health, crop rotation, and animal husbandry, she strives to maintain a balance between productivity and environmental stewardship using her landscape architectural background. Salome has served on the board of Women in Real Estate Kenya as a corporate member and Treasurer. She is the President of OWIT Kenya.
