Regional Outrech
OWIT Kenya’s Regional Outreach Program is an inspiring initiative aimed at empowering grassroots women across the country. By setting up offices in five key regions:
- Rift Valley
- Central
- Eastern
- Coastal
- Western
OWIT Kenya is bringing support directly to women involved in business, with a focus on helping them export their goods and services. The program, spanning over three years, seeks to reach more than 1,000 women.
Rift Valley Regions
The Rift Valley Region was officially launched in December 2022 as part of OWIT Kenya's Regional Outreach Program. The launch event, held under the theme Expanding Business Horizons, marked a significant milestone in our mission to empower women entrepreneurs across Kenya. Over 100 women from the Rift Valley region came together for this impactful event, where they engaged in discussions on enhancing their business strategies, accessing global markets, and improving their capacity to export goods and services. This launch set the tone for greater economic empowerment, ensuring that women in the Rift Valley are equipped with the tools and support they need to thrive in the global marketplace
Central Region
In September 2023, OWIT Kenya proudly launched the Central Region as part of its ongoing Regional Outreach Program, designed to support and uplift women entrepreneurs across Kenya. The theme of the event, Sustainable Agriculture for Rural Economic Development, reflected the region's deep connection to agriculture and its pivotal role in driving economic growth. The launch brought together a vibrant group of women business owners from Central Kenya, with a special focus on those involved in agriculture and agribusiness. The event offered a platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions on sustainable farming practices, value addition, and strategies to access both local and international markets. In addition to insightful talks and networking opportunities, there was an exhibition that showcased a diverse range of agricultural products, services, and innovations from local entrepreneurs. This event underscored OWIT Kenya's commitment to empowering women by providing them with the resources and connections needed to thrive in the agricultural sector, helping them contribute to the broader rural economic development.
